Students who test positive and will miss in-person class because of quarantine and isolation protocols should follow these steps:

  1. If you didn’t test on campus, report your positive results to the to the CV19 COVID Support program. You may be asked for documentation of your positive test. (If you received your positive test from the UA Student Health Center, the information will be provided to the CV19 case manager.)
  2. The CV19 team will provide you with instructions about isolation or quarantine protocols and when you may return to class/activities.
  3. Notify your faculty members and forward them a copy of the quarantine/isolation information you receive from the CV19 case manager.
    • Ask your professors if course materials and/or recorded lectures are available. Faculty teaching in-person classes are not required to provide online options due to COVID-19 quarantine or isolation, absent necessary accommodations. They may be flexible when provided legitimate documentation of illness or quarantine orders.
  4. Students who continue to be impacted by COVID-19 due to a clinically diagnosed disability can apply for academic accommodations with the Office of Disability Services.
  5. If you haven’t already, consider getting vaccinated to avoid missing class due to severe illness.
