Keep the Tide together by getting your vaccine.
Everyone in our campus community is strongly encouraged to be vaccinated. Don’t wait. Start your vaccination today so you can be fully protected when the fall semester starts.
Vaccines are being administered by various businesses and healthcare providers in several locations in the Tuscaloosa area. A few options include University Medical Center, Student Health Center, DCH (our local hospital), Walmart, CVS, Crimson Care and the County Health Department. You can also go to Vaccine Finder to find clinics, pharmacies, and other locations in the United States that offer COVID-19 vaccines.
Most vaccines, including those currently offered through UMC and SHC, require two doses provided between 21 and 28 days apart. Both doses should be provided by the same facility. Those who are not in Tuscaloosa this summer should consider getting vaccinated locally, and if you do, let us know so we can better plan for the fall semester.
Get the facts on the COVID-19 vaccine, and make the decision that’s right for you and our herd.
Students will be eligible for the Bama Cash reward after reporting their first dose. Only one reward per individual. You will not receive a second reward for reporting your second dose, but we encourage you to do so by resubmitting the entire form with proof of your second vaccination.
The Bama Cash reward is available to those whose primary affiliation is student and enrolled for this fall semester. Employees who are also taking classes do not qualify.
Students who received their first vaccine dose elsewhere can still get their second dose on campus. Call 205-348-1471 to schedule an appointment for either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
