Sign up for Sentinel Testing
The University is moving to the COVID-19 sentinel testing phase of the campus health and safety plan. To participate, go to healthy.verily.com now to set up an account. Use your myBama username @crimson.ua.edu email address to create your account. Answer some basic questions and verify your email. Once your account is created, you are all done for now.
Sentinel testing is required for students:
- living on campus,
- participating in intramural athletics, registered student organizations that hold in-person meetings of 10 or more, or
- who have clinical activities and will be on campus during the semester.
You do not need to set up an account if you are learning or working exclusively online, and it is unlikely you will be coming to campus for any reason.
Free for-cause testing is conducted on-site for those in a shared location, such as a Greek house, residence hall floor, student group or classroom. It can be associated with an increase in positive test results, but it is also a valuable monitoring tool in preventing outbreaks.
myBama Maintenance Sept. 19
On Saturday, Sept. 19, myBama will be unavailable from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. for scheduled database maintenance. Banner, Blackboard, DegreeWorks and other applications will remain available. More information is available on the OIT Status Page.
