Message from the VP for Student Life – April 13

Dear students,

What a year it has been! While the unforeseen challenges due to COVID-19 have distinctly shaped our course over the past year, you continue to make me proud of your resiliency and care for your fellow students and campus community.

We are excited to see the Crimson Tide and Coach Saban at the A-Day Game this weekend. As we watch the game and close out the semester, please continue following these campus COVID-19 guidelines:

  • Face coverings are still required on campus.
  • Physical distancing must be maintained.
  • In-person, organized social events, both on and off campus, are PROHIBITED on A-Day.

The university began distributing the COVID vaccine to essential student workers with high levels of face-to-face interactions and will expand access to more students soon. I hope you will seek access to the vaccine wherever it’s available according to your timeline. Use VaccineFinder.org for distribution locations near you.

As you prepare for finals next week, maximize your study time by eating right, taking breaks and getting plenty of rest.

Thank you for your continued commitment to keeping our university safe. I look forward to finishing this academic year the same way we started – together.

Roll Tide!
