COVID-19 training, testing for spring semester — Jan. 7

Mandatory COVID-19 Training for Spring Semester Now Available
Students attending class on campus for Spring 2021 Semester must complete a new, two-part COVID-19 online training module prior to or immediately upon return to campus. The training is now available via the UA LMS button located on the Campus Life tab in myBama (or the email you should have received). For the best learning experience, access training with Chrome or Firefox browser on a desktop computer. The Safari browser or mobile devices are known to cause technical issues. Refer to the Tech Help Troubleshooting Tool for assistance. More information is available on the healthinfo website.

Reentry Testing Appointments Now Available
Spring 2021 campus residents are required to test for coronavirus (SARS-COV-2) prior to resuming classes and on-campus activities. Testing must be done within seven days of arrival on campus, and no later than Jan. 19. UA is offering one free PCR reentry test on campus to each on-campus resident. An appointment is required and can be scheduled online. Campus residents may elect to test at home or through a personal physician prior to returning to campus as long as they complete a PCR test  and upload their negative results to the UA COVID-19 Test Result Repository.

Use UA Healthcheck Daily
Share your current health status – even if you are symptom free – to ensure a safe return to campus. UA Healthcheck, a daily, 30-second assessment tool for students and employees, allows you to report any current COVID-19-related symptoms, exposure history and testing history.

Be a Responsible Tide Fan
The UA football team takes on Ohio State University in the national championship Monday, Jan. 11. As you cheer on the Tide, do so responsibly, respectfully and safely. Make smart decisions before, during and after the game to protect yourself and others. Wear your mask, avoid large gatherings and keep a 6-foot distance from others.

Moratorium on Student Events
To continue to maintain a safe campus, the spring semester will begin with a two-week moratorium on all in-person student events outside of classroom instruction.
